Jul 2020 — Astalake Biosystems, Inc. received a $100,000 USDA-NIFA SBIR Phase I award for “Generation of fast-growing high-yield wheat plants by optimizing lignin bioregulation.” This research contributed to the development and expansion of the AFINGEN® plant biotechnology platform.

The project supported research on lignin bioregulation and crop-performance traits in wheat.
