Aug 2016 — AFINGEN, Inc. received a $99,429 USDA-NIFA SBIR Phase I award for “Fast-growing high-yield forage crops via a novel biotechnology platform.”

The project extended the AFINGEN® Positive Feedback Loop (APFL) biotechnology approach to alfalfa and sorghum, with research objectives related to faster growth, increased biomass, and improved digestibility.
